Watercolor Workshop

Hello everyone! I am teaching a watercolor workshop this weekend at Marnee’s Studio located in midtown Mobile, Alabama. This is a sample of what we will be exploring in the class. Visit www.marneestudio.com for more information. Thanks for watching!

Two Cardinals

I recently finished this very special custom work. Did you know that some people believe that a red cardinal is a representation of a loved one who has passed? When you see one it means that the loved one is visiting you and they usually show up when you most need them, to let you know that they will always be with you.

Amur Leopard

I have a new mini drawing for sale in my shop, along with some new giclee prints!

“The Amur leopard is important ecologically, economically and culturally. Conservation of its habitat benefits other species, including Amur tigers and prey species like deer. With the right conservation efforts, we can bring them back and ensure long-term conservation of the region.” world wildlife.org

A is for Alligator!

I’m going to an SCBWI conference in March and working on some new things to add to my portfolio. My goal is to eventually turn this into an alphabet book. Here is the first page! If you are interested in following my process, you can find more videos and in process photos on my Instagram (@lisajohnstonhancock) and Twitter (@LisaJHancockArt) accounts. Give me a follow and see what I’m up to! Thank you friends. 😉

Colorful Doe

This is a sketch that I created with some of my new sketchbox materials and loosely inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt. The doe is actually cut from a piece of paper that my 4 year old painted. Shhhh, don’t tell her. I really want to make more collage pieces like this. It SOLD and is framed and ready for a new home!

Sleeping Fawn T-Shirts!

Hello! Well I finally did it and I’m testing the waters to see what you all think. I have been throwing around the idea of having some t-shirts printed for awhile now. It makes sense to put something out there that is functional and beautiful. 😉 If you are interested in one of these super soft and cozy shirts you can purchase one through my web site shop. Marnee’s Studio will also be carrying some of these shirts very soon at www.marneestudio.com. My sleeping fawn illustration is printed on the front, with my small logo on the back and it comes in Green, Grey or Brown S,M,L & XL Adult sizes. I’m also working on some things for youth shirts so stay in touch! Thank you for your support! You can purchase online or in person and we ship!
