We were late getting up this morning but it was such a gorgeous day today that we had to go and check out the forest at the Shenandoah National Park, VA. We spent a little time on the Appalachian Trail before we had to head back. The air was crisp and cool and the leaves of the forest were absolutely breathtaking.

Beautiful! Fading fast:(
I know. I think that this was the last weekend before it all falls. We wanted to get over there before it was too late.
Nice slideshow!
The Shenandoah National Park is especially beautiful this time of year.
I went 2 days ago….on Friday. The weather was continually shifting back and forth between clear sky/sunshine, and fog/clouds/rain. So, I didn’t wander too far from my car. When the sun was out, the colors were spectacular. But, when the clouds blew by…well…that was interesting too! 🙂

Thanks Mary! I checked out your blog as well. I had trouble seeing the witch, but I’m sure it was there. That was a beautiful shot of the valley!
Hehehehe…
Only dark shadows made by the clouds above.
But it’s almost Halloween!
If you squint your eyes and bend your imagination, you might see a witch…..and a cauldron or two.
And then again, maybe not. 🙂
